Stories of Yonder and Yore: The Hazelands
Last updated: 29 October 2026
1. About the Project
Stories of Yonder and Yore: The Hazelands is an independently created tabletop roleplaying game publication by TineMakesThings, a sole proprietorship registered in Belgium.
These Terms & Conditions apply to the confirmation and fulfilment of Kickstarter rewards and to any additional purchases made through HIVE, our third-party pledge manager.
Your original Kickstarter pledge is also subject to Kickstarter's Terms of Use. Where these terms conflict with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws take precedence.
2. Crowdfunding & Production
By backing this project, you support the creation and production of rewards that may not yet exist in their final form.
We aim to deliver all rewards as described in the campaign. However, minor changes to artwork, materials, packaging or product specifications may occur during production.
Any substantial changes affecting the nature or quality of rewards will be communicated to backers.
The estimated delivery date for physical rewards is October 2027. This is a good-faith estimate rather than a guaranteed dispatch date. Manufacturing, logistics and other unforeseen circumstances may affect the schedule.
We will communicate significant delays through Kickstarter updates and explain any changes to the estimated fulfilment timeline.
Nothing in this section limits statutory rights relating to late delivery or non-delivery.
3. Pledge Confirmation & Payments
Backers must complete their HIVE pledge manager survey to confirm their rewards, delivery details and any additional purchases.
Late pledges, reward upgrades, additional purchases and changes to existing pledges are available until May 2027, subject to reward availability and the options offered through HIVE.
The exact closing date will be communicated to backers in advance. After the announced deadline, changes may no longer be possible because orders will be prepared for production and fulfilment. This does not affect mandatory consumer rights.
HIVE will display applicable shipping charges, taxes and additional costs before checkout.
Any additional payments will be processed through HIVE's designated payment providers. No additional charges will be made without your authorisation.
All prices are displayed in the currency indicated at checkout.
4. Shipping & Delivery
We offer worldwide shipping, subject to applicable legal, customs, carrier and logistical restrictions.
Physical rewards will be dispatched through fulfilment partners selected according to destination and logistical requirements.
Shipping fees depend on the destination, parcel size, weight and selected rewards. The applicable shipping charge will be displayed before checkout.
Some rewards may arrive in separate shipments. We will communicate relevant shipping arrangements and tracking information where available.
Backers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address and confirm any changes before the announced address-lock deadline.
If a shipment is returned because of an incorrect address, failed delivery or non-collection, we will review the circumstances individually. Where legally permitted and appropriate, additional shipping costs may apply before resending the parcel.
If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, we will investigate and provide the remedies required by applicable law.
5. VAT, Customs & Import Charges
Depending on the destination, shipments may be subject to VAT, customs duties and carrier handling fees.
We aim to prepay applicable import charges wherever reasonably possible to minimise unexpected costs for backers.
For certain destinations, import charges may be prepaid through a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping arrangement. Where DDP shipping applies, this will be indicated during checkout or in the shipping information provided to backers.
For destinations where import charges are not prepaid, backers may be responsible for paying applicable duties, taxes or handling fees upon import.
Any additional charges collected by TineMakesThings through HIVE will be clearly identified before payment.
We cannot guarantee that all international shipments will be free from additional charges imposed by customs authorities or local carriers. We will provide accurate customs declarations and comply with applicable tax and shipping regulations.
If a backer declines to pay legally applicable import charges and the parcel is returned, we will assess the available options individually, without prejudice to applicable consumer rights.
6. Digital Rewards
Digital rewards will be delivered according to the estimated delivery dates stated on the Kickstarter campaign page, subject to any subsequent updates communicated to backers.
Backers will receive an email explaining how to access their digital rewards and identifying the delivery platform.
Digital products are provided for personal, non-commercial use unless an accompanying licence expressly permits additional uses.
Copyright in the writing, illustrations, designs and other original creative materials remains with the respective rights holders.
Digital rewards may not be redistributed, resold, reproduced for commercial purposes or uploaded to publicly accessible repositories without permission, except where permitted by law or the accompanying licence.
7. Personalised & Original Artwork
Certain rewards may include original illustrations, hand-created artwork or personalised items.
Original artworks are individually produced and may show natural variations in appearance, colour and finish.
Clearly personalised goods made according to a backer's individual specifications may be exempt from the statutory right of withdrawal where permitted by law.
This exception does not automatically apply to all original or handmade artwork. Any applicable exception will be identified before purchase.
Purchasing an original artwork transfers ownership of the physical piece, but does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.
8. Refunds, Cancellations & Right of Withdrawal
Original Kickstarter pledges are governed by Kickstarter's Terms of Use, the applicable pledge agreement and mandatory law. Refund requests may be submitted to TineMakesThings at hazelands@tinefieldling.com.
For qualifying distance-sale purchases, consumers have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, contact hazelands@tinefieldling.com with a clear statement of your decision to withdraw, or use an available online withdrawal function. A model withdrawal form will also be provided.
Where the statutory right applies, you must notify us within the applicable withdrawal period and return the goods within 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal.
You are responsible for the direct cost of return shipping unless otherwise required by law.
We will reimburse eligible payments, including standard outbound delivery charges, within the legally required period. We may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been returned or proof of their return has been provided, where permitted by law.
The statutory withdrawal right may not apply to goods that are clearly personalised or made to the consumer's specifications.
For digital content supplied without a physical medium, the statutory withdrawal right may be lost once supply begins, but only where the consumer has expressly consented to immediate performance, acknowledged the resulting loss of the right of withdrawal and received the required confirmation.
These exceptions do not affect statutory rights concerning defective or incorrectly supplied products.
9. Damaged, Defective, Missing or Incorrect Rewards
If a reward arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, or does not arrive, please contact hazelands@tinefieldling.com with your pledge or order details.
Photographs of the affected goods or packaging may help us investigate, but are not a condition for exercising statutory rights.
We will work with our fulfilment partners to resolve issues and provide repair, replacement, price reduction or refund as appropriate under applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes statutory guarantees or other mandatory consumer remedies.
10. Unconfirmed Pledges
Backers must complete their HIVE pledge manager survey and provide the information reasonably necessary to fulfil their rewards.
The pledge manager is expected to close in May 2027. The exact deadline will be announced through Kickstarter updates and, where possible, direct communications.
Backers who have not confirmed their details by the deadline may experience delayed fulfilment.
We will make reasonable efforts to contact affected backers before taking further action. Any decision concerning an unconfirmed pledge will comply with Kickstarter's Terms of Use and applicable law.
11. Privacy & Personal Data
We collect and process personal information necessary to manage pledges, process payments, communicate project updates and fulfil rewards.
This may include contact information, shipping addresses, reward selections and order details.
HIVE acts as our third-party pledge management provider. Relevant information may also be shared with payment processors, fulfilment partners and shipping carriers where necessary to provide the rewards.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Further information about data processing, retention periods, recipients and your rights is available in our separate Privacy Policy.
